With a background in Visual Arts, focussing on Photography and Graphic Design, Jeff’s got a keen eye for colour, style and design. His plant passion lies with indoor plants & pots, and often falls into the trap of having one too many pots and not enough plants to fill them, or vice-versa.
Favourite plant: Loropetalum Plum Gorgeous.

For over 16 years, Jan’s been a constant at Valley Road Nursery. Her broad knowledge of plants and vast database of local knowledge is a credit to her and certainly comes in handy, especially when undertaking garden consultations. Her current passion is native plants!

One summery day in January 2022, Lizzie bounced into the nursery and introduced herself to the team, from the get-go we knew she’d be a perfect fit. Our head greenlife buyer and horticulturalist with a bubbly personality to boot, throws herself into everything with infectious enthusiasm and strives to learn at every opportunity.

Favourite plants: “Anything cottagey!”
The infectiously upbeat Tam joined the Valley Road Nursery team in November of 2022. With a background in personal training and injury rehabilitation, you could say Tam’s a bit of a people person and is always ready to lend a hand when needed.
Favourite plant: Ligularia Reniformis – The Tractor Seat plant.

Coco
Around 13 years ago, Coco wandered into Valley Road Nursery and decided to stay. We’re not 100% certain of her breed, but we suspect the much-beloved nursery cat is a Chantilly-Tiffany. Coco enjoys lazing on the pavers in the warm sun, lounging on the front counter hoping for pats and is loyal to the Fancy Feast® poultry range of cat food.
Favourite plant: Cat grass.
Take your time when you visit our Nursery, there’s a lot to see
For a small boutique nursery, we have a large range on offer and boy do we make use of every square inch available. Our customers often comment on the enjoyment they get while wandering through, seeing what’s new and chatting with our team members.
