Garden Consultations

You’re more likely to succeed when you’ve got a plan, so why not consult with our qualified horticulturists to help you achieve your garden goals? Whether you’re revamping an existing garden or starting with a blank canvas, having local, specialised knowledge will be the key to your success.

What should I do to prepare?

We strongly recommend thinking about the kind of garden you’d like to achieve before your consultation. Do you want a native garden, something more traditional and formal, a rambling cottage garden, or maybe a Mediterranean or Japanese-inspired garden?  If you’re not sure, browse Australian gardening websites, local magazines and even your neighbours’ gardens for inspiration (with permission, of course).

So, what’s involved?

Over the course of an hour, our star horticulturalist, Jan, with over 25 years of expert local knowledge, will walk with you through your property, taking your input on the plants you like and the type of garden you’d like to create, and recommend plants and improvements to undertake to achieve your ideal home oasis.

Is that it?

Not at all! Roughly a week later, you’ll receive a detailed written report outlining everything discussed—including recommended plants, where to position them, and suggested steps to bring your garden vision to life.  Plus, we’ll have a 15% discount card ready for you to use in-store, valid across four future transactions, to help you start turning your plan into reality.

Does the report come with a drawn plan?

Not at this stage. Instead of spending your consultation measuring, marking levels, and locating pipes and cables, we focus entirely on understanding your vision and giving you tailored expert advice. This allows us to make the most of our time together, which is why your follow-up comes as a detailed written report rather than a formal drawn plan.

How much does it cost?

Our garden consultations are priced at $250 within suburban Geelong and from $300 for further afield. If your property is larger and requires more time, a rate of $75 per extra hour applies.

Please note: Full payment is due when booking your garden consultation.

Can I gift a garden consultation?

Absolutely, help them make their house feel like home! Gifting a garden consultation gives your loved ones expert guidance to transform their outdoor space – so they can grow with confidence, create something beautiful, and enjoy a garden that’s truly their own.
